PUZZLE NO. 129 : Creasing Sudoku



RULES : Classic sudoku rules apply. Along the grey lines, digits are strictly increasing or strictly decreasing according to the direction in which they are read.

  2. Too difficult.Same mistakes were repeating in one box.Atfter amending it was smooth.Difficult to say which of your creation is more interesting than the other

  3. This is a brilliant solve and construction.Will take its place with ease in any GP.I struggled a bit though taking 14:49 on this but I solved it in the "purest" logical way and it was fun.Wonder if I could have solved it faster by guessing

    1. Thanks for the feedback Kishore. There was a logic connecting box 1,2 and 3. If u get that logic , it won't take that much of a time. Glad that u liked it.

  4. 19:22, kept on breaking this. It was difficult to keep track of digits. This variant is similar to Thermo with open bulbs, which had appeared in GM puzzles a few years back

    1. U have to pencil mark both ways and look for eliminations. There is a neat trick in the top 3 boxes which opens up the sudoku. Never thought of the similarity with thermo that you pointed out. Will try to create one without givens .
