PUZZLE NO. 82 : Odd Even Bridge Sudoku



RULES : Classic sudoku rules apply. Some circled cells are connected by a bridge.
               An odd digit in a circle equals the number of odd digits on the bridge. An even digit in a circle equals the number of even digits on the bridge.
               The digits on the circle are not counted.
               Also, it is possible for digits in both circles on a bridge to have the same parity.

RULES : Classic sudoku rules apply. The arrows outside the grid indicate that the first three digits are in ascending or descending order ( the highest digit is at the sharp end of the arrow ). If there is no arrow outside, the first three digits cannot be in either ascending or descending order.

PUZZLE NO. 72 : Three Lines Sudoku

This is a practice puzzle for Sudoku GP ( Indian Round ) to be held this weekend. I am co-authoring this round along with Gaurav K. Jain, Hemant Malani, R. Kumaresan, Rakesh Rai, Pranav Kamesh & Prasanna Venkatesh Seshadri.


RULES : Classic sudoku rules apply. In each group of three lines :
  • One will follow Arrow Sudoku rules. The digit placed in a cell with a circle must be the sum of the digits placed in the cells that the adjoining arrow passes through. Digits may repeat on arrows. It is up to the solver to determine which end has the circle.
  • One will follow Thermo Sudoku rules. Starting at the bulb, digits placed along the thermometer must form a strictly increasing sequence. It is up to the solver to determine which end has the bulb.
  • One will follow Palindrome Sudoku rules. Digits along the line read the same in both directions.
         It is allowed that a line has properties of both Arrow and Thermo Sudoku ( for instance : 1-2-3-6 ).

PUZZLE NO. 50 : CONSECUTIVE PAIRS SUDOKU

This was my submission for www.gmpuzzles.com. It was not accepted because Thomas found it extremely difficult. Give it a try guys.


RULES: Classic sudoku rules apply. If a grey circle is given between two adjacent cells , then the numbers in those cells will be consecutive. Not all grey circles are given , which means adjacent cells without a grey circle may or may not contain consecutive digits

PUZZLE NO. 49 : SEARCH 9 SUDOKU

Search 9 sudoku is normally considered as one of the most difficult variants. I have tried to keep the difficulty level in check so that it can be solved by the normal solvers as well.
